Why is Smooth Mooove Different?

Seniors have lived in their home for a lifetime. They've raised families and are surrounded by special memories, precious heirlooms, and family history. Suddenly the home they once loved is now overwhelming with responsibilities and difficult to live in. When a decision is made for a senior to relocate to a smaller home that's right for them seniors need assistance and lot's of it.

Why is moving seniors different? When a senior moves, they downsize. They don't take everything with them. Currently seniors must work with many different companies when relocating. Anticipating the large amount of physical work and time involved to move a home can be often times overwhelming and paralyzing for a senior and their family.

I discovered this firsthand when I moved my Mother from Georgia to Michigan. Mom was overwhelmed with everything that needed to be done. I said, "Don't worry" and offered to handle her entire move needs. She was overjoyed. I thought I'd put everything in a box, put it on a truck and send her on her way. Oh, no! Mom started walking me through her home, pointing at things saying, "I'll take that, let's sell that, and I want to give that away."

Suddenly I was overwhelmed. I started looking for a business to assist me and there were none. Smooth Mooove Senior Relocation Services, Inc. was born.
